Good Morning My Stamping Friends, Since today is officially the first day of Autumn I wanted to share an Autumn card I made for a swap. The swap doesn't happen until Saturday so if you're one of the swappers, just close your eyes. For this card I used Stampin' Up!'s Autumn Splendor from the current Idea Book and Catalog and Hand-Penned Holidays from the current Holiday Mini.

Stampin' Up!'s Raining Flowers general greeting card
Hi there Stamping Friends, I hope you've been inspired by a few of my latest posts and I hope you've even copied, or CASED some of them. I've been swamped getting ready for a vendor table I have this Saturday morning so today I'm showing you my CASED version of a card using the Stampin' Up! set called Raining Flowers. The original card I saw was shared on Stampin' Connection (a Stampin' Up-demonstrator-only website where demos can post photos of their creations, among other things). We currently have about 190,000+ photos on there and lots of discussion forums.

Christmas Lodge from Stampin' Up!
At the Stampin' Up! Convention in July 2011, the attendees got a sneak peek at the new stamp set Christmas Lodge. Of course everyone loved the perfect Christmas tree in the set, but the snowy lodge was what caught my eye. I'm from New York so I could totally imagine sitting in there on a big comfy couch, under a blanket on a snowy Christmas morning while drinking hot cocoa by a fire. Ahhhhh.
Well with my kids back in school all morning I finally had time to pull out Christmas Lodge and play for a little while and here is my card share.

Tagtastic hostess set from Stampin' Up!
Hi there My Stamping Friends, I hope you're having a good Monday morning so far. I'm here to share the card I created with the hostess set Tagtastic from Stampin' Up! I love that every one of the six stamps in this set fits into a punch. Hmm...maybe I'll give myself a challenge to create a card for each stamp in the set. That could be fun.
Yesterday was my club meeting day and this is one of the cards we made. I seem to be on a cherry cobbler kick lately so I hope you're enjoying it as much as I am. (Headsup~Tomorrows post is cherry cobbler also).
For this card I ran a 4 x 5-1/2 sheet of whisper white card stock through

Una Feliz Navidad using Tradiciones Navidenas / Bells & Boughs from Stampin' Up
Hi there My Stamping Friends,
It is starting to get a little cooler in my neck of the woods so I tried to cheer myself up by breaking out one of my new Stampin' Up! sets (Tradiciones Navidenas) and seeing what I could make. I found out I LOVE this set and can't wait to make a few more samples for my upcoming Spanish/English card classes. I love it so much that I'll probably make a similar card using an English language sentiment for one of my Christmas Card classes too.

Hi there My Stamping Friends, I know this stamp is retired (it retired with the Summer Mini catalog in the end of August) but I had to share a card that I made to celebrate our nation's resiliance on September 11, 2011. I was a young mother of 1 (with one on the way) on 9/11/2001 and I was heading home to my parents house, about 20 minutes north of New York City, on that Tuesday morning when my mother called and told me to put on the TV and delay my trip. The events that unfolded that day and the days after were incredible and unforgettable. We honestly are in the Land of the Free and the Home of the Brave.
I was inspired by a card I saw on Stampin Connection, a facebook-type, social media website hosted by Stampin' Up! for all thier amazing demonstrators. It is choc full of chatting forums, produt tips and most importantly almost 187,000 samples of cards, scrapbook pages, 3D projects and much more, all made by my fellow demonstrators. If you want to join my team and check out all the benefits of Stampin' Connection just visit my website at www.RoseEllenEastman.StampinUp.net and click on Join The Fun.
Have a wonderful day,

One FREE Stampin' Up Designer Series Paper pack for every three you purchase
Hi there My Stampin' Up! Friends, I'm here to tell you that the Stampin' Up! August Promotion is AMAZING!! Until the end of August, get a FREE package of Designer Series Paper when you buy three! You should consider using this limited-time offer to stock up on all your favorites, including brand-new designs from the Stampin' Up! 2011-2012 Idea Book & Catalog. That's what I'm going to do.
Think about which projects you'll be doing over the next 9-12 months and buy now, while we are having such a fantastic promotion. I know that I'll be using the Frightful Sight (#122351) for my girls' Halloween projects and gifts for their teachers and classmates. Who can pass us the Letters to Santa DSP (#122349) for their holiday cards and projects? I love the colors of the Berry Blossoms paper (#122350) so I'll have to get some of that and I KNOW that Just Add Cake (#124339) will be perfect for birthday cards that my girls are sure to make for their friends at school this year. And that's just for my girls. I haven't even mentioned all the scrapbooking, cardmaking and 3D gifts that I'll be working on, especially now that I have my hands on the new Stampin' Up! Simply Scored Scoring Tool and the Holiday Stocking and Stocking Accents dies for the Big Shot. I'm sure I'll be purchasing multiple packs of each so I'll probably get at least 3 free packs of paper!! And don't forget about the DSP Nautical Expedition (122343) in the Summer Mini Catalog ~ that isn't going to be available after August 31st so if you like it, stock up now!
Do you have friends that scrapbook or create cards or are papercrafters? Share a link to this blog post with them, share it on your facebook page, or save a copy of the flyer below (right click and save as) and e-mail it out to your friends. You never know who is looking for this for themselves or who is looking to get a gift for someone else and needs a good idea.
And to get your creative juices flowing, here are some photos from the samples at convention, showing lots of ideas for your Designer Series Paper projects. I don't know who made these projects since they were on display. If I knew for sure, I would happily give credit where credit is due.
Enjoy and have a wonderful day,
Rose-Ellen

Stampin' Up! Catalog CASE - Small Scallop Oval Punch Technique & Awash with Flowers
Good Morning My Stamping Friends, Today I'm going to show you a card that I CASEd (Copy And Share Everything) almost exactly from the current Stampin' Up! Idea Book and catalog (page 174). I changed the sentiment up a bit and I wanted to show you how I got a small scallop oval.
Here is my card (the supply list is at the end of the post).
The card in the catalog used the scallop oval punch but since I changed my sentiment I felt that the scallop oval punch was too large. So, I stamped my sentiment on whisper white and punched it out with our small oval punch. I then took a piece of melon mambo and punched out a scallop oval. The proportions just weren't right and to fix it I needed a smaller scallop oval. Lately I've seen a lot of punching shapes from other punched shapes so I decided to give that a try. I punched the scallop and then put it back into the punch so I could only see 7 scallops, and I punched again. Those directions are probably as clear as mud so here is a photo of what I'm describing.
What do you think? I hope you like the card. Leave a comment and let me know. Now I want to see you CASE a card from one of our current Stampin' Up! catalogs. Let me know where you post a photo of it and I'll visit and leave a comment.
Hopefully I'll see you at my Open House this Friday. Visit my webpage calendar at http://www.roseelleneastman.stampinup.net/ where you can RSVP for the event.
Have a great day,
Rose-Ellen
P.S. Don't forget that we only have about 5 days left on our $99 starter kit promotion. This set is customizable so you get to choose which stampsets and whick ink you want. You'll also get a FREE Christmas Keepsake box kit (which is larger than it looks in the photo - its will hold plenty of holiday cards or whatever treasures you choose to keep in there). Visit my webpage at http://www.roseelleneastman.stampinup.net/ to look into starting your own business (or getting a discount on your own hobby supplies) and feel free to use my password newrecruit to get answers to any additional quesitons or to sign up for the kit. Stampin' Up! Flower Fest card and Inspiration Photo
Good Morning My Stamping Friends, Today I’m sharing a card I made a few weeks ago right before I left for the Stampin’ Up! Convention 2011. I was working on a project and was having a stampers version of ‘writers block’. So I took a break and had brunch at a friend’s house. While I was there she showed me her new front porch furniture and cushions. They were so bright and cheery that they snapped me out of my ‘stampers block’ and as soon as I went home I was inspired to make this card.
I used the Flower Fest and Teeny Tiny Wishes stamp sets and the new Lucky Limeade ruffled ribbon. There is a supply list at the end of the post to make it easier for you.
Here are my inspiration photos of the colorful and cheery cushions on my friend’s porch.
What do you think? Can you see the resemblance? Leave a comment and let me know.
I’m off to clean up from my 2 stamp clubs yesterday and to get some work done in my craft room. I’m hoping to get some cards done so I can schedule some posts for my blog for next week when I’m on vacation. Read ‘vacation’ as: visiting my folks in NY on the way to take our daughter to Boston for her annual check up with her radiation oncologist. I can’t believe it’s been almost 2 years since we finished that part of her treatment. We are a very lucky and blessed family!
Hope you have a great day.
Rose-Ellen
P.S. If you’re local, or in town for a visit, I’d love to have you come to my Open House this Friday night. Visit my web calendar at www.roseelleneastman.stampinup.net for all the details and to RSVP.

Stampin' Up! Convention 2011 - WOW Presentation at Hispanic Event
Hi there My Stamping Friends,
I spent the day INSIDE putting labels on more Stampin' Up! catalogs that arrived yesterday, prepping for two stamp clubs that I'm holding on Sunday and sending out more notifications of my new catalog Open House next Friday. The reason I was INSIDE is because it has been hotter than hades in my neck of the woods over the past few days. I didn't leave the house until about 6:30 pm today and the temperature had finally dropped to the mid 90s. Yesterday my car thermometer read 106F. WOW!! It was so hot that after swim team practice my daughter actually wanted to come home to cool down.
Anyway, I'm here today to give some more details about my WOW presentation at the Hispanic Event at the Stampin' Up! Convention 2011. I decided to present the floating reinker technique on a twist card and since I was gearing my presentation towards a Hispanic market I wanted to make sure that I used the colors and stamps that they would appreciate and enjoy. So, here are two samples of my twist card. One shows the floating reinker technique and one is colored with markers.
For this technique I embossed the princess image from the Princesita stamp set on shimmery paper. I then spritzed water all over the image and since the image was so small, I rubbed my finger over the water to make sure it puddled in all the embossed crevices. I then took my aqua painter and picked up drops of reinker in pool party and dipped the aqua painter into the puddled water on the princesita's layerd petticoat. I cleaned the aqua painter and picked up wisteria wonder for the dress, cleaned the aqua painter again and picked up calypso coral and colored the princesita's hair and so on. I embellished the wand and crown by using the 2 way glue pen and fine galaxy gold glitter
I used my Big Shot and the Scallop Circle die, the Clear Circle die and the Scallop Circle #2 die along with my 2-1/2 inch cirlce punch to cut out the card pieces. I attached them together with brads, added circles of shimmer white on the back to cover the brads and to use as a place to write a note to the recipient (sorry, I didn't take a photo of that and the cards are with Stampin' Up! now). The card does fit into a medium size envelope with a slight bend in the flap. There is a supply list at the end of this post if you'd like to know exactly what I used.
Also in the photo are the chocolate nugget candies that I covered by stamping with the Envueltos en deseos stamp set on Avery labels. For one set I stamped with the birthday cake stamp. For the other set I stamped on the avery label with the stamp that looks like a bandaid. Then I stamped the princesita and the frog on a piece of whisper white card stock and colored them both in with markers. I used the small oval punch to punch out the portion of the images that I wanted to showcase and attach them to the label. I wrapped the label around the chocolate nugget and voila.
The next few cards are more samples I showed using the same technique on a larger image.

Stampin' Up! Convention - Day 3 (Friday)
Hi there My Stamping Friends, I hope you've been enjoying all the details about the Stampin' Up! Convention and my Salt Lake City adventures that you've been reading. I had so much fun while I was there and I'd love for you to join me on my next trip to Convention (July 2013 in Salt Lake City, Utah) or Leadership Conference (in January 2013 in San Antonio, Texas). I'd love to answer your questions about being a Stampin' Up! demonstrator and how this can improve your life. We currently have a $99 starter kit promotion so consider your options. While you're doing that visit my website at http://www.roseelleneastman.stampinup.net/ & click on join my team (or start my own business) to get more information. You can use my password newrecruit to get even more information and you can even sign up on line if you have all your questions answered. Meanwhile, back to the details of Convention 2011.
Friday morning started off with break out classes. I learned a few more neat details of my Demonstrator Business Website and then went on to a demonstration on some of our products and new ways to use them and new projects to create. Project coordination using our suites of products make creating so easy. Here are a few things we saw on stage.
I ate lunch quickly and got to spend time in the demonstrator resource center checking out the samples from other demonstrators and samples and ideas from the Stampin' Up! creative team. Just amazing. Here are a few things I saw.
The afternoon session was choc full of great stuff. It started with a march across the stage for annual sales milestones and then we moved on to some more product and project demonstrations. Then another march for growing your Stampin' Up! team and more product demonstrations. Lets see if you can catch any new products in these photos.
We ended the afternoon and had a quick break before I had to get to the Hispanic Night Event. I was presenting a WOW project on stage and I was soooooo excited and a little nervous as this was the first time I was presenting with Stampin' Up! Here are a few photos of the evening and my projects. If you missed the event and want to know how I made the cards just ask. And feel free to leave me a comment and let me know how much fun you had at the event.
All of that made for a full day. Tomorrow I'll be back to tell you about our final day at convention. Have a great day!

Stampin' Up! Convention - Day 2 (Thursday)
Howdy My Stamping Friends, The Stampin' Up! convention is amazing this year. The +one theme is really proving to be true. Stampin' Up! has done so many fantastic +one things for us this year. Today started off with a main stage general session and included a walk across the stage for all the VIPs ~ me included. Here is a photo of what it looks like from the stage.
After that they had all the first time convention goers walk across the stage. What a rush for all the new-comers. I can't wait to take some of my downline next year for the first time. If you'd like to join me any my team at the convention let me know and I can help you get there (we are having a $99 starter kit promotion right now).
Next up was Pam Morgan and she introduced some FANTASTICALLY AMAZING new products that are going to be in our upcoming Holiday Mini. I can't show you the products just yet, but I can show you some projects. Check this out. Of COURSE we have new items for the Big Shot. We'll have a stocking die....
...and a die to cut out 5 different size pop-up windows, which will come in handy for projects like this advent calendar (and many more) ....
...and what do you think about our new cookie press? Here are just two of the patterns in this set. I CAN NOT wait to get these and make cookies with my kiddos. Stampin' Up! also includes a recipe that they've tested and adjusted to work well with the cookie press.
We spent the afternoon in break out classes and even got a free Simply Sent card kit to match one of the stamp sets that we got in our convention bag when we checked in.
Dinner was at the Olive Garden getting to know our Stampin' Up! Hispanic Market Manager Sandra Manwill and some fantastic hispanic market demonstrators. I really had a great time meeting and chatting with them, and gaining more of an understanding of the market from thier point of view.
After dinner I made it to the Awards Night and AfterParty. Lots of fun dancing, catching up with old friends and making new ones.
All in all it was an amazing day. I'm really looking forward to sharing my Friday activities with you because that was the evening that I presented for the first time at a Stampin' Up! event. I created and presented a WOW project for the Hispanic Night Event. It was sooooo much fun.
Catch ya tomorrow,
Rose-Ellen
