New products in use in my studio.....
I used products and supplies from the brand new 2010-2011 Idea Book and Catalog. I used the Level 1 Hostess set Because I Care and stamped on the new DSP Newsprint using versamark and heat embossed it with black embossing powder. I colored the flower with the Pear Pizzazz and the Blushing Bride ink using an aqua painter. I sponged the Newsprint DSP with Pear Pizzazz and attached it to a Basic Black layer. I made a 'ribbon' using the in-color Blushing Bride cardstock, the eyelet border punch and the crimper. Finally I attached it to the Pear Pizzazz base to finish it off.
Hope you enjoy it,
Rose-Ellen

A touch of inspiration..
So, here is the kit that I ended up with:
I used some current stamps and some retired sets from my stash that I can't bear to part with (Side note: we are at the tail end of the ordering period for the Last Chance List. If there is something you want that is on the list, please order in today or tomorrow so you won't be sad on Thursday when you can't get the set anymore).
My supplies:
Pick a Petal stamp set, Simple Birthday Thanks stamp set, Time Well Spent (got that FREE from Stampin' Up! just for being a demonstrator), Loads of Love, Crayon Kids and Beary Best Friends . I also used several misc colors of card stock for the card bases, current and retired ribbons, and buttons. All in all I think a little girl would love to get this card kit. I KNOW I would.
Hope you have a fantastic day!
Rose-Ellen
P.S. Don't forget that the current catalog ends tomorrow night at midnight so if you want any stamps, accessories (lots are retiring), card stock (the price is going up so you might want to stock up now) or envelopes you can place your order on line or call me and I'll place it for you.
And don't forget about my special offer for a chance at a $50 shopping spree (see my previous post - sorry for the formatting on that one, the preview does NOT look like that. It has pretty bullet points and colors too!

During the month of July, any former Stampin' Up! demonstrator* can rejoin Stampin' Up! for only $35! To inform them of this special offer, demonstrators who have left over the past three years will receive either an e-mail or a postcard inviting them to take advantage of this special offer. The e-mails and postcards will be sent out during the first week of July.

Details to remember:
- This offer is available to ALL former demonstrators*, however Stampin' Up! will only contact dropped demonstrators from the last three years.
- This kit does not include any Stampin' Up! products.

I am looking for someone to host a workshop this weekend. (Last minute parties are often some of the BEST for gathering friends and having fun.) I also have some availabilities during the day or evening this week and next Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday. Do you want me to come to your office and do a lunchtime card class? Would you like me to come to your pool and teach you and your friends while you’re waiting during dive or swim team practice? Interested in having me join you for your monthly girls-night-out to have your friends learn how to make some fantastic cards? One of the best parts of my job (and these products) is that I have the flexibility to show you how to make cards and scrapbook techniques pretty much anywhere. Don’t forget that a hostess that books something right now will get an additional benefit as noted above.
If you’re wondering who you can invite I can e-mail you a tip sheet on where you can ‘find’ your friends. Remember that you’ll never know if one of your friends enjoys this until you invite them to a workshop, so invite everyone and you’re sure to have a blast. Call me at 703-200-2340 to discuss workshop date options.
There are a few more little things I want to let you know about.
I have seen the new catalog and the price of the cardstock has gone up from $5.50 to $6.95 for a pack of 24 sheets of the same color cardstock. (Thought you might want to know just in case you want to stock up on colors that you know you use often).
Assorted packs of card stock have gone from 36 sheets to 20 sheets (due to the Color Renovation and each family now having 10 colors instead of 12) and have dropped from $7.95 to $6.95
This is your LAST CHANCE to get something from the LAST CHANCE LIST. The Last Chance list is updated every day at about 6pm. I’m told we will fill all order for the stamp sets, however the cardstock, inks, refills and accessories (ribbons, brads, etc) are on a first come, first served basis. If you are interested in getting something on the Last Chance list and would like to see the current update on what is no longer available, please let me know and I can get that information to you.
You can place any order on line at my website, or by calling or e-mailing me.
Don’t forget to check out my blog at www.MyStampingFriends.blogspot.com
Thank you again for all your support,
Happy Stamping and good luck on your chance at winning a $50 shopping spree from me!
Happy Stamping,
Rose-Ellen

Samples of some of the retiring sets
I thought you might want to see some samples made with a few of the retiring sets so I looked at my photos from the Stampin' Up! convention from last summer and found some. I took these photos from the display boards so I have no idea who made these cards. If one of them is yours please let me know and I'll happily give you credit.
There are only a few weeks left to get stamp sets from the Last Chance List so if you have something on your wish list that is on the Last Chance List, let me know as soon as possible.
This stamp set is a Level 2 Hostess set and is called Asian Artistry.
There are TWO retiring sets on this scrapbook page (sorry its so blurry). One is the Wild West Alphabet (#115112 $43.95) and the other is Card Games (#113202 $19.95).
This background stamp Tres Chic (#109258 $17.95) is retiring.Sunday, June 13, 2010
