Good Morning My Stamping Friends, Its a gorgeous morning here and I'm finally getting a minute to sit down and work on my blog. Today one of my goals is to write several blog posts and schedule them for posting this week.
Anyway, today I'm going to show you some cards I made last week. My niece and nephew's school (The Pine School in Hobe Sound and Stuart, FL) was hosting a fundraiser auction and I donated some of the Stampin' Up! Sale-A-Bration products that I had in my studio from last year's event. I donated a pack of designer series paper, the coordinating stamp set and the accessories (ribbons and brads) that went along with them. Since the winner might be a brand new crafter I decided to create a simple set of 6 cards and coordinating envelopes so the bidders could see what they could make with the products they'll win. Here are some of the cards I came up with.
I thought they came out pretty cute and they were so simple to make. Today after the shelves get installed in my new stampin' studio (more info on that later) I plan to sit down with the stamp set (Madison Avenue), coordinating designer series paper (Sycamore Street) and accessories (Sycamore Street ribbons and buttons) from this year's Sale-A-Bration event and create another set of cards and envelopes and I plan to post them later this week. Have you seen the FREE items you can earn during Sale-A-Bration this year? Check them out by clicking here. Since Sale-A-Bration ends on March 22nd, you only have about 3 weeks left to get these products for FREE and then you'll have to say goodbye to them!
So, earlier in my post I mentioned my new stampin' studio and I did share a preview photo or two on my facebook page (www.facebook.com/StampinUpWithRoseEllen) but this week I'm hoping to be able to take photos of the completed new space and show you all what I've done....that is, as long as the shelves get finished today, so keep your fingers crossed for me.
Enjoy a wonderful day and I'll post more photos this week.

I know most of you are sort of expecting some sort of recruiting promotion during Sale-A-Bration (aka SAB) in January….and you’d be right to expect that this year as well. Stampin’ Up! has told us what the promotion is going to be, starting January 24th, and it sounds GREAT!
The BETTER news is that as a Leadership Attendee I AM ALLOWED TO OFFER THIS PROMOTION RIGHT NOW FOR TWO DAYS ONLY, DECEMBER 13TH AND 14TH. SO………Here is the scoop:
If you want a copy of the starter kit form to check out the suggested stamp sets, card stocks and ink, so you can figure out what you'd like to swap out for your own selections, send me at e-mail at StampingWithRose-Ellen@cox.net
If you read this and are interested but still have questions, don’t hesitate to contact me via e-mail or call me at 703-200-2340.
Because I always like to include a photo of a project whenever I post, here is a little gift I made (a pouch full of jingle bells and twine) for the attendees at my big Scrapbooking and Card Making event last weekend. My next crop is going to be in Dunn Loring, VA (near Tysons Corner) on March 2nd and 3rd. Tomorrow I'll post more projects from the last crop.
Have a great day,

I know most of you are sort of expecting some sort of recruiting promotion during Sale-A-Bration (aka SAB) in January….and you’d be right to expect that this year as well. Stampin’ Up! has told us what the promotion is going to be, starting January 24th, and it sounds GREAT!
The BETTER news is that as a Leadership Attendee I AM ALLOWED TO OFFER THIS PROMOTION RIGHT NOW FOR TWO DAYS ONLY, DECEMBER 13TH AND 14TH. SO………Here is the scoop:
· You can join my team of Stampin’ Up! demonstrators today and tomorrow (December 13th and 14th) or January 24th – March 31st for only $125. That is $50 off the regular starter kit price which is already an awesome value since the kit is full of $340 worth of merchandise and supplies. The starter kit ships for FREE.
· You get to choose the standard starter kit OR the digital starter kit.
· The starter kit is customizable so you get to choose your stamp sets, card stock , ink and marker colors and more.
· You will get a FREE PACK OF 12x12 DESIGNER SERIES PAPER OR A DIGITAL DOWNLOAD OF YOUR CHOICE (valued at 10.95 or less) each month of 2012, starting in February (which coincides with when the promotion was set to start). Shipping not included.
· You can join as a hobbiest to get a discount on your own purchases, or as a business builder to earn extra income, or anywhere in-between.
· You will get 20% off your demonstrator orders (YES, you CAN just join for a discount on your own purchases).
· You can place your first order today if you’d like, and that means you can purchase items from the upcoming mini catalog AND you can take advantage of the regular SAB promotion where you get an exclusive SAB item for every $50 you place STARTING TODAY. You will be able to do this if you join in January as well, however if you join today you’ll get your starter kit sooner and have more time to play with all the goodies inside that magical box.
· Your first demonstrator order of $150 or more, within the first 45 days, will get a 30% discount rather than the regular 20% discount.
· If you place your first qualifying order before January 3, 2012 you will also get 3 SAB items (for spending $150 or more) and you will get Hostess Benefits as well. Yup, demonstrators get to earn hostess benefits too!
· Your merchandise order today not including the starter kit) will count towards your quarterly minimums. If you join now, your quarterly minimums wouldn’t have to be met until the end of your first FULL quarter, which in this case would be the end of March 2012. If you join in January, you’re minimums wouldn’t have to be met until June 30th.
· If you want to stay on for three more months, you just need to place orders (one large order or multiple orders over a three month period) that add up to a that total $300 in merchandise.
· During your demonstrator-ship (is that even a word?) you will receive a monthly magazine choc full of articles, product explanations, project samples that are demonstrate-able and reproducible so you can make them with your friends at a workshop or Open House event to show your friends and family what Stampin’ Up! is all about.
· You will gain access to Stampin’ Connection, which is Stampin’ Up!’s social network site for demonstrators, which has over 200,000+ samples, and a forum area where you can find out all kinds of information about products, projects, Stampin’ Up! news, and much more.
· If you decide to stop being a demonstrator there are no penalties. You don’t return anything to Stampin’ Up! and don’t pay any extra fees. You just don’t get to place any more orders, get any more discounts or get access to Stampin’ Connection, or get the monthly magazine.
· If you join my team, you will also get a set of catalog stickers/tabs, a Stampin’ Up! decal for your car or house window, you get to attend my monthly team meetings, will get email updates to make sure you are on track for where YOU want to be.
If you read this and are interested but still have questions, don’t hesitate to contact me via e-mail or call me at 703-200-2340.

My Rag Bag Purse
Hi there My Stamping Friends!!! I'm soooo excited about my Rag Bag Purse (also known as the purse made using the Big Shot and the Scallop Square Die). I just couldn't wait to share it with you. I finished it about 5 minutes ago and I'm downloading the photos right now. Wahooo!!
I'm going to start out by saying I do NOT sew very often. In a pinch I might be able to repair the hem on a dark colored pair of pants, if you wore them at night....and tucked them into a pair of boots (tee hee hee). Seriously I can fix a Halloween costume and sorta sew a straight line but that is about the extent of it. That is probably why I'm so proud of myself for making this purse. I LOVE LOVE LOVE my Big Shot and when I heard about these scallop square bags I was intrigued. I was so excited recently to get invited to my friend Robin Merriman's house for her downline meeting, where Nancy was showing us how to make these purses. Thanks again Robin and Nancy!!
So, The bag is pretty easy (if I can do it, you can do it) so I'll give you some basic instructions but the photos should tell the story. Basically I used my Big Shot and Scallop Square die to cut out 19 squares for the outside and 19 squares for the inside of the purse. I used batting in between the squares to give it some structure.

Basically I used my Big Shot and Scallop Square die to cut out 19 squares for the outside and 19 squares for the inside of the purse. I used batting in between the squares to give it some structure.
I stitched an x on each square and lined up my squares in a pattern and stitched them all together.
My hint for the newbie trying this for the first time would be to avoid a fabric that has a directional pattern (such as animal faces that need to be straight and facing in the right direction~ a perfect example of 'Do as I say, not as I do'). After I stitched the scallops together in the shape of the bag I stitched a straight line (LOL) across the top and inserted straps into the top of the bag as I was sewing.
Doing this made the bag reversible so it has a 'scallop' side and a 'straight' side.
What's that you say? You can't live without one of these bags? You can't live without the Big Shot (#113439) and the Scallop Square die (#115950)? Just contact me and I can help you place an order so you can get exactly what you need. Don't forget that we are currently running the Sale-A-Bration promotion where you get a FREE stamp set (from a list of 70+ sets) for every $50 you spend. If you order a Big Shot, the Scallop Square Die, one more die and a few other smaller items such as snail refills, you could get three SAB sets and you would qualify for a FREE hostess set and $15 in FREE merchandise. WOW!!!
So, What do you think of my first purse? Leave me a comment and let me know.
Have a great day!!

Leadership and Regional in Phoenix, AZ
I'm back from Leadership and I'm so excited to share everything with you. Unfortunately I had to wait a little bit because my laptop is STILL in for repair. UGH!!! I borrowed this laptop (thanks Shannon!) and downloaded my photos and I'm hoping the post works out (reminder: I'm new at this so I'll be proud if I can get the photos posted at all ! If someone can tell me the trick of how to get photos placed int he right place on the page that would be huge!! If they look good now, it is just luck.)

While I was at Leadership I was in two organized swaps. One was using product from the Occasions Mini and one used products from the SAB catalog. Here are my two submissions for that. For the first one I went to the Occasions Mini and used Something Sweet (#118589) which is one of our new clear mount stamp sets. You can also get it in the regular wood mount (#117688). Stampin' Up! didn't want to compromise quality so we are still using the same red rubber and foam that gives the wonderful impressions that you associate with Stampin' Up! We've added a different mounting option and now you can mount these stamps to any one of our 9 sizes of acrylic blocks (page 6 of the mini). All four sides of the acrylic blocks are grooved with finger grips and you won't believe how easy it is to stamp with them.
For the second card I used the Sale-A-Bration set called Vintage Labels (wood mount # 118392; clear mount #119122) and I added in the Very Vintage wheel (#117693) and a touch of our whisper white organza ribbon (#114319).
This next one (with the tiger) is a swap from my fantastic up-up-up-up-upline Carol Bartle. Whenever I see her she is happy and smiling. She is so enthusiastic and its contagious. She's also very caring and happy to share tips. She's a wonderful lady!
For this card she used the top note die (#113463) in the Big Shot machine (#113439), Fox and Friends (wood mount #117002 or clear mount #118565).
Hopefully I'll get some more photos downloaded and posted later on. I saw a bunch of cute Valentine cards in my swap bag so I'll work on those.
I'm also swamped with the Pajama-Scrap-A-Rama that I've got on the calendar for this weekend. We'll be in Dunn Loring scrapping, creating and papercrafting for 20 straight hours. Want to join us? Let me know and I can send you all the details. Until later....
