Stampin' Up! Outlined Occasions & Sprinkled Expressions Rainbow Cards

Good Morning My Stamping Friends, I hope you're having a fantastic day! I'm sitting here with the sun pouring in the window, warming my back, and wishing it was already Spring. Only a few more weeks to wait and I'm super excited about that.

Anyway, on to my card share for today. I recently needed a quick, cheery, colorful, thank you card so I looked at one of the Valentines day cards I posted here and tweaked it a little bit. In my mind I was going to do a similar card and just change the colors to a rainbow and this is what it turned into.

I started with a 4-1/4 x 5-1/2 piece of Stampin' Up! whisper white card stock and used
the 'thanks' stamp from the Outlined Occasions stamp set (that I got FREE as a perk of Sale-A-Bration). I then took the flower from the Sprinkled Expression stamp set (also a FREE set from the Sale-A-Bration promotion) and stamped a rainbow of flowers around the sentiment. The ink colors I used were Real Red, Pumpkin Pie, Daffodil Delight, Lucky Limeade, Tempting Turquoise and Concord Crush. I really liked the card so far, however since there are stars surrounding the 'thanks' sentiment and the Sprinkled Expression stamp set has a star, I started again. Once I made that change I loved the card front, but couldn't decide which color card base to use so I made one for every color of the rainbow.

Then I needed a quick birthday card for a party my daughter was attending so I CASEd myself and added a sentiment from Stampin' Up!'s Heard from the Heart, for the birthday girl.

It was so much fun to make these cards and I think a set of rainbow thank you cards are now on the list of possibilities to make for my daughters' teachers for Teacher Appreciation Week or as part of their end of the year gift. This is also a perfect reason to sit down with your stamps and start playing with ink on paper. You never know what you're going to end up with.

I love all the colored rainbow cards and can't decide which one is my favorite. What do you think? Comment here and let me know.
Happy Stamping,
Rose-Ellen
